Football Weekends

I should probably title this post "Lots of Pictures". We have been really busy the last couple of weeks but here are some pictures of what Owen has been up to.

My cousin Jamie came by to see Owen before we left for the parade. Owen loved him- it was just hard getting him to smile for the camera that morning.
We tried to do Homecoming tailgating with Owen but it was just too cold. We bundled him up long enough to see the beginning of the parade then decided to go to Cypress Inn and call it a day. He ended up spending the afternoon asleep on Pops while we all watched football on the tv at home- sometimes that is just the better option!

"Enjoying" the parade with Pops.

This was about two minutes after I got him back into the car.

Enjoying being back home for the afternoon- too cold outside!
Uncle Tucker and Owen playing- I love this picture!

Owen loves his bath!

The Kings came by with their triplets and Owen loved them!

The kids took turns holding Owen (with Mommy's help).

Sandy and Owen right before his bedtime.

This is usually what happens at night when we are trying to give him his last bottle. He is not napping well at school- usually cat naps combine to about an hour of naps. We struggle to keep him awake until 7:00 PM most nights. This week he has started napping when we get home so hopefully this will help. (I remember when this Boppy Lounger was too big for him).

Grammy and Gramps came to stay with Owen so we could go to the UA/Tenn game this past weekend. He enjoyed spending the whole day with them by himself!
PS- I think he looks like his cousin Frank in this picture!

Mary Scott (my cousin) and Jon came by to see Owen before the game. It was a quick visit but we are so glad they stopped by! Hopefully, we will be able to visit them soon!

One last picture- the weather was too pretty not to be outside on Sunday. Our backyard is tiny so excuse the shadows. We ended up at the park but forgot to take pictures.
I am so excited to have an "off" weekend. Our team needs it too! The big LSU game is next weekend and we have a lot to look forward to! Cabin Fever and a Quick Surgery

We made a quick trip down to see Pops' new hunting land a few weeks ago. The land came with an old log cabin and amazing views. The house that we sleep in is about 20 miles away but the cabin will make a fun "day" spot. The land was beautiful and as always Owen enjoyed being outside. The cabin is really neat inside (although could use some modern amenities and furniture). We had a great time riding around and seeing everything. Owen even got his first pair of camouflage pants to wear!

This past Friday, Pops and Gigi took Striker into the vet for a good bath. We got a phone call an hour later and apparently Striker needed surgery to remove a Hemotoma (not sure how to spell that one) on his ear. Surgery went well and he was home that afternoon. We went ahead and had his teeth cleaned while he was "asleep". Needless to say our vet bill was a little more than the $15 we were expecting. Owen was sure to give Striker some extra love after his bandage came off!

Owen is doing so well sitting up now. He shows no interest in crawling and I am fine with that! We are having some trouble with his blocked tearduct (as you can probably tell in these pictures). His eye is looking a lot better now than it was over the weekend. Dr. P gave him some new drops to try today so we hope to see results soon!

September Pics

This month has flown by! Football has dominated our weekends (but I am not complaining!!!)Here are a few random pictures from the past few weeks.

Labor Day

First trip to campus to tailgate

Owen is sitting on the sign for the 1971 SEC Championship team (Pops' was on that team!)

Owen and Pops in front of Bryant Denny

Owen's first (of many!) meals at the Alpha Chi house. Girls, if you haven't been, you HAVE to check out what they did over the summer. It looks beautiful! And to think...all we wanted was cable tv in our rooms!

All of the tailgating wore him out.

Watching the game over at Gigi and Pops.

Owen has started sitting up (pictures soon) and drinking from a sippy cup. He is loving the baby food he has tried. His favorite food so far seems to be Bananas and like his good friend Trent, he loves Banana Mango. He is teething but still no tooth. I keep thinking it will be any day now.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!
