Early Birthday Present

We decided to let Owen go ahead and enjoy his present a little early this week (his birthday isn't until Friday). We got him a swing for the patio and with our weather lately, I figured we needed to take advantage of the sun today while we had our chance! I think he likes it...

Party Prep Time!!!

I can't believe it is time to plan Owen's first birthday! The past year has really flown by! We are doing a small, family party at our house in a few weeks but I wanted to share the invitation because it is so cute! My friend Lindsey, that has done all of Owen's pictures, designed his invitation using his 9 month pictures. I love the way they turned out!

We also did his Smash Cake pictures yesterday so I can have them back in time for the party. He didn't love it like I thought he would- actually, he had a meltdown! You would never know it by looking at these pictures though!

And He's Off...

After two months of "scooting", Owen has decided it is finally time to crawl. He has actually been crawling for awhile now but I am just now getting around to posting. He is into everything (of course) and especially loves going after Striker (who is so patient with him I might add). Buffett on the other hand runs from him. I will try to get a picture of him crawling soon.

I cannot believe how the past 10 1/2 months have flown by. Owen was ready to switch to a bigger car seat, but I just don't think I was ready. I still feel like he should be in his tiny newborn clothes! I am sure I will be devestated when it is time to turn the seat around in a few weeks.

On another note, Owen has decided he doesn't want to "crawl". This is his preferred method of traveling around our house...

I am thinking he will go straight from this to walking but we will see! He has transitioned from soy to regular formula very well and he is beginning to eat more table food. He loved his first experience with Taco Casa, but then again, who wouldn't?

Here Comes Number 13...

So, it has been awhile since I have updated the blog. We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed seeing our families. Since Kevin works so much during the holidays we were thankful to be able to stay put and spend our time here at home. Kevin's parents and grandmother came to see us Christmas Eve. Then we had Christmas with my family the day after Christmas. Here are a few pictures to catch you up on what has been going on...
