Update

I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure is back down but he still wants to check me pretty closely. I go back Monday and depending on my blood pressure etc. I will probably either be induced Tuesday morning or Thursday of next week. If we decide on Thursday, I will go in Wednesday night for injections then start the induction Thursday morning. Either way, it looks like it will be next week for sure!

Doctor's Appointment

My blood pressure has been a little high lately so I was anxious to get back to the doctor this morning. I was sent home from school yesterday and ordered complete bedrest until my appointment today. It worked really well because my blood pressure was back down at the doctor's office. I was allowed to come back to work and plan on working through Thursday. I go back Friday morning and if my bp is back up Dr. M will probably induce. If it is normal than we will wait on into next week for some more progress. According to the ultrasound this morning Owen weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces. He appeared to be pouting in the pictures we were given (I think he is just ready to come out!)

Weekend Company

This weekend our good friend Wade came to visit us. Wade helped introduce Kevin and I, so we always love to see him and catch up. Murphy (Wade's Goldendoodle) and Striker had a great time playing outside in the nice weather. Buffett was not too happy about having two big dogs around and spent most of yesterday and last night under our bed. We are expecting him to come out of hiding any time now. :)

I go back to the doctor Tuesday morning to have an ultrasound to check Owen's weight. I will post an update after that appointment.

My Favorite Things

After reading April's blog I decided to post a few of my favorite things. I am guessing these will drastically change in the next few weeks!

I love these! I have never really been a coffee drinker until now (not great timing I know). Anyway, during the holidays I couldn't live without pumpkin spice lattes and now I am hooked on the white chocolate mocha lattes.

I also love my new camera. Kevin gave me this for Christmas and I have been taking a photography class to learn more about it. I am still learning...but love it already! One thing I have learned, it is definitely worth the money to develop the pictures in higher quality. I developed the pictures at CVS and at American Shutterbug and could not believe the difference in quality.

Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without People! I have been subscribing to this magazine since high school and look for it every Friday in my mailbox. I also love to look at the website in between issues.

I also love reading other people's blogs to keep in touch with friends and their families. I have been following several blogs for over a year and I love to read updates and see the pictures of the families I don't get to see often. The favorite things post is fun to read...so other bloggers post yours!

Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor this morning and everything is looking great. I have not started dilating yet but Owen appears to be measuring at 7 or 8 pounds already. I will go back next week for an ultrasound to confirm this and we will decide then if we will induce. I am headed to the spa this afternoon for a prenatal massage and I can't wait!
