A friend of mine took Owen's 3 month pictures for us a couple of weeks ago. Here are a few of my favorites...

Last Minute Trip

Owen and I made a last minute trip to Daphne this past week. We were able to visit with Mam-Maw and Pap-paw as well as Pops and Gigi. I even got to sneak away to the beach for one night while Owen stayed with Pops and Gigi! It was a good practice since I will be away from him for almost a week at the end of July when Kevin and I go to NYC. Here a few pictures from our trip...

We are heading down there again next week for the 4th. Pops is coming to pick Owen and I up and take us Monday (I don't want to make that drive alone again for awhile!) Luckily, my Dad has business up this way so it isn't too bad of an inconvenience for us to ride down with him. Kevin will come later in the week when he gets off work. We are so excited to be able to spend some time at the beach! Hope everybody has a fun and safe 4th of July!

Lazy Summer Days

I LOVE the summer and am so sad that it is so short now. Whatever happened to 3 months off school? 8 weeks is going to fly by. Owen and I are having a great time being home together. It is so nice not having anywhere that I HAVE to be for awhile. We haven't really done anything exciting so here are a few random pictures to share...


It is never too early to start thinking about football season!



This is the best I could do to get a picture of Buffett and Owen together. Buffett is TERRIFIED of Owen and will not go near him. This is a good thing I am sure. He stayed this close to Owen long enough for me to snap the picture then took off.

First Week Home with Mommy

I have REALLY enjoyed being home with Owen all week. Dont get me wrong, I love my job, but it is so nice to have some time off with him. We have had a busy week playing but I haven't really taken a lot of pictures. He went to a nursery for the first time (our gym) and did great. I was expecting them to have to come get me but he slept most of the time and gave me a full hour to workout!

Sunday in Selma

On Sunday we took Owen to Selma to see Grammy and Gramps. He did great in the car going but got pretty restless coming back. I think Kevin finally got to see why I keep saying Owen doesn't love his car seat as much as he used to! We had a great time and enjoyed seeing Kevin's family.

He is about to take his nap in his cousin's (pink!!) pack'n'play. He is swaddled in the Miracle Blanket recommended to me by my friend April. It has been a lifesaver and I highly recommend it to new moms!

Kevin's cousin Lance and his wife had their baby girl Taylor Elizabeth on May 16th. We cannot wait to meet her!

Fun Weekend

Shelley and Ross came to visit Owen Saturday night and he LOVED them! We had a great time and Owen played so hard he slept all the way until 5 AM! They are both such a huge part of our life and we were so glad they made the trip down (even in the pouring rain) to spend time with us. Coming soon...some pictures of Owen in the ADORABLE outfits they brought him.

This is my last week at work and I am so excited to be home with Owen all summer! Friday, we are going to Birmingham to watch Ashley try on wedding dresses. It is going to be so much fun but of course I won't be able to post any pics of that until March. I just hope Owen will behave like the little angel he is!

As promised, here is a picture of Tucker and Ashley celebrating their engagement on Mother's Day! We are so excited to have Ashley joining our family and can't wait until March 27th!

On another fun note, Tuscaloosa finally got a Sips 'n' Strokes and we took advantage of it last week. Mom and I joined some of my friends for a fun night of painting. We had so much fun creating our masterpieces. Unfortunately for me, my cousin Kristina got the art talent in our family, but it was still a fun experience!

Owen will be 11 weeks on Thursday! He is still having some days where he shows definite colic symptoms, but should be outgrowing those in a week or two. Overall, he is sleeping very well and eating well too.

He is really perfecting his pout when he is upset :)
